In Dream Weaver, a site generally consits of 2 parts: a collection on files on a local computer and a location on a remote web server that you upload the files to when you're ready to. when you creat a local site assets in the local site's root folder.
In Dreamweaver the term "site" can refer either to a website or to a local storage location for the documents that belong to the website. The lattter is what you need to establish before you begin buildint a website.

The Firtas task is to copy the sample into the desired folder on your hard disk. With the folder selected drag it into the desired location. You'll define th folder that you copied into the my sites folder as your local folder.
In the Site Name text boxx, you enter the name as the name of the site.
Next, in the local Root Folder text box, you will specify th folder that you copied to My Sites folder.
The next step is to specify the default image folder.
